Intercoolers
Just wondering why fitting a Cossie intercooler in an RST is so hard.
Why can't I just turn the charge carrier around and run a pipe round the side of the rad ?

Re: Intercoolers
You can
But then youve got to mount it and will the cossie intercooler be long enough to fit around the rad?
By the time youve done all that and getting hoses made up etc you could have brought a pace one anyway

Re: Intercoolers
Could someone get some measurements for me of a 2wd intercooler.
The overal width and the distance between inlet and outlet.
Thanks

Re: Intercoolers
How about moving the bottom of the rad forwards and the top backwards, would that give you enough room at the top for a 2wd one ?
or finding a shorter but wider rad ???
Theres got to be an easy-ish way.

Re: Intercoolers
It is a simple mod to do, but i would go for the 4x4 intercooler, you will need to change one of the end tanks though, so that it exits straight, this will then go around your rad. The few that i have seen with this fitted tend to mount them at the bottom of the rad, and hold it in place by tight fit alone.
I have seen a rs500 intercooler mounted in the front of a S2 but it was a tight fit and surrounding bodywork needed some slight modifications

Re: Intercoolers
The problem is the lack of space at the front of the S2, and the cossie coolers are usually quite deep as they sat on top of a rad rather than in front. Most solutions will require some body mods I think.
