Ok, I joined Buysellcortina and (over a few days) went through all 42 pages of your Cortina build. I admit, I was skeptical at first, but my god, what a build! Really saddened to read some prick keyed it and you were about to sell up though. If this Escort turns out anything as well as the Cortina did, we are in for a treat.

Because of the front diff iv had to relocate the steering rack and fit a couple of uj's to route the coloumn over the diff
I had to reposition the bulkhead hole
Had to fit the pedal box and then made new mounts for the colum
1 from the dash support bar and the other to stop sideway movement to the side of the pedal box
I then filled in a few unused holes in the bulk head and clear it off both sides
Really helps when you can spin it over - 1st time iv ever used a spit and don't know how I ever managed with out it - cost £60 to build
The windscreen to scuttle edge had rotted and been repaired badly in the past to fixed this and cleans it all up with a coat of etch
And the front of bulkhead
Now with the shell the right way up
There's still a load of repairs to do and should have the repair panel that goes below bubble ready for next week end
Looking great mate

Hello mate,
I know where this car is as I dropped my van in for a repair there. I saw the Escort sitting looking sorry for itself and asked about it. That's when I heard about your Cortina and your plans for the Escort. Pleased to see you're cracking on with it, they both look amazing. Top quality work.
I might find something wrong with the van as an excuse to come and have a nose about
Tom
Cracking work so far - looking forward to seeing more!

Not a lot done lately due to holiday
Now I'm back I'm struggling to read anything in here it displays in long thin lines now on iPhone
Anyone know what I should do
I still struggling with this
All photos seem zoomed in and writing is all 1 or 2 words per line
Going to try uploading a few photos let me know if they turn out ok
Any advise to get screen back to normal would be appreciated
Iv built a trolly to enable me to get this on and off a recovery truck as going for media blasting soon
Made it out of some scaffy and it's turned out well, strong and stable
Going to fit these after blasting
awesome...
Where did you buy the inner arches?
They are magnum panels which loads of people are selling
on ebay they are about £175 + p&p
i bought mine from charlie @ cwc restorations and he did me a really good deal . hes on holiday at the moment but you could email him on cwcrestorations@btinternet.com or check his website cwcrestorations.co.uk
Very helpful
Not a lot to show for the last few weekends work
Iv been drilling - plugging - grinding - filing and sanding all the small screw bolt and rot holes
Boring and time taking but just about there
Not sure if going to take for blasting next week end or the following
I might spend another day cleaning up welds so I'm not removing the primer he will be spraying
Also fitted the rs support panel
superb build, awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
