Is this cage ok to logbook a car ?

This is a safety devices cage but it has 2 bends in the front legs, is this ok or is it meant to one bend only?

Seems to depend on the scrutineer, my AE86 cage is the same but I have it on good authority that if it fails at a rally they can't refuse the entry but they can mark the logbook so it can't be used on further events.
If it were mine I would have the straight tube modification done now while it is easy to do. Essentially a straight tube is run down from the top of the screen, through the existing bars onto a new footplate.

you dont need to. its a certified cage as long as you have a copy of the certificate its fine.

This all came up a couple of years ago

Just get a certificate from the MSA and carry it around with you along with your logbook
If a scrutineer complains, show him the certificate and if he's still not happy, ask him to read the Blue Book...

I thought you were not allowed to modify a cage?

Re: Is this cage ok to logbook a car ?

For national events the cage either needs to be homologated to FIA, certified (with certificate and unmodified) or meeting the Blue Book specification.

The Blue Book spec is where it starts to get slightly ambiguous as the rules state that you are only allowed one bend but the scrutineers bulletin published around the time this was an issue stated that you were allowed a slight pull. Either way there seems to be a more reasonable approach being taken -SD cages modified or not in an Escort aren't being rejected. The cages that are were the Micra dash savers which had an S bend in the front leg.

Best advice I could give is make sure the car looks like it has been put together well and is clean and tidy.
