    The new build!

Seems as I'm 19 and a bit fed up of the daily car I thought I'd treat my self to a nice flash bmw or audi, so as it happens I somehow ended up spending my 2 year saving on another mk2 2 door! Balls to the flash cars I though! anyway seems as you guys like a project I thought if share mine with you all, logged as a 1979 brown 1300L but it's a '76' blue car with a 2.0 lol! Pics to follow as I got to resize them! Hope you like it!

Free or I'll will pay £10 per wheel or £15 if there clean straight. But your mile away bud so not really worth the traveling.

See sooo many lazer wheels on eBay listed as RS wheels gives me the right hump but if you get awY with it there's money to be made. RS wheels have come right down in price too lately.

    Re: The new build!

Pinto is a nice motor but if you want something with power go for a cossie or vauxhall engine. Personally I'd never put a vauxhall in a mk2 but it is a good motor and a lot of mk2 have them.

cheapest install is whats already in there a pinto!

140bhp is a walk in the park for a pinto, the only drawback is most need rebuilding first, if i was building it your looking about £1500. which might sound a lot of money compaired to a scrap yard engine, but you dont need to buy sumps, water rail kits, mounts or anything else to fit it, when you take all those other bits into consideration a cheap zetec or whatever isnt so cheap after all.

dave roberts had a long stroke 2.1, near 2.2 litre pinto i built him, but he never even put it in a car so its un-run he was asking just £1500 for it, it would cost around £3k in todays money so could be a bit of a bargain if he still has it, he is near the Welch boarder too
