Re: cossied mk 2 lotus cortina

Picked up the intercooler assy ,downpipe, new fuel rail, header tank and the turbo coolant return pipe all with the correct fittings to fit the car now this week from 'Andy Robinson Race Cars' ,can't recommend them enough, top guys.
So today went and tried it all ,great! Also stripped out the interior of the car and took out the rear screen for some mods Now all I've gotta do is redesign the dash for my new guages, chop the cage around a bit and get the interior resprayed! Oh and rebuild the pedal box and rewire the car, shouldn't take too long puddy.

no i have to work one of those weekends with an extra 450 university students here to play soldiers.!!
still it will help with the gartrac bill "i hve put barclaycard on stand by as well just incase" i need to stop adding to the spec as each time i go there i say oh that looks good can i have that done "need to learn when to stop or at least how much will that cost to do?" i should have it back soon cant wait. just have to save up then for the paint job might be a bit delayed as mrs wants to know to much at the moment (Eg how much is that lot costing) i cant keep telling her oh it's not that much!! i am getting it done cheap.
any way have a good day next week see you soon

Is your garage still empty jim ? if so I'll bring her over and

    we'll get cracking!

Its a problem really ,got loads of bits to fit ,but nowhere

Re: cossied mk 2 lotus cortina

Well I actually did some work to it today ,gave it a wash 1st,

    helps get the enthusiasm going!

Drilled the bulkhead to fit the pedal box casing, then bolted in

the steering column/wheel again so I can actually move it

    around again.

Took off the rocker cover to inspect the internals, cams and

followers spotless, took out the plugs and rotated the engine,

tops of pistons and plugs alovely colour,1st time I,ve looked

since the engine was mapped on a dyno a couple of years

    ago!

Took off the nitrous gear, although I'm still not entirely sure

    about going 4x fogger.

Now got the car a bit easier to get around ,so hopefully make

more progress soon, gotta finish off my new side windows

    and rear screen.

Gonna get the exhaust out and start wrapping that as well, its

in pieces next to the car.

    cheers ,puddy

Good man, nice to see you work on the car again. Are you still having it painted inside? It must be the day for working on the cars. I got off my arse and went down the garage and took the 4 link bars off and removed the nylon bushes that i had in them, now just waiting for my new bushes to turn up from gartrac. Already got new rose joints to fit on along with new bolts/nuts/washes etc. I also removed the clocks inside the car so its ready for the new ST700 stack dash to go in also just also waiting for a sheet of carbon fibre to turn up to mount the clocks in. Bloody parcelforce didnt deliver it before new year

I got the carbon sheet from demon thieves, got a 500mmx500mm sheet for 46+vat + delivery. They do it in all differant sizes,go on their website and order a copy of their 2005 motorsport book thats if you havnt got a copy already.
As to the stack dash i got it cheap from a mate for 200 new in box. its not the triangle shaped one its the 80mm one with shift light built in and digital display.
