The one on the left powers up the fuel pumps and msd,the one on the

right is the normal master switch.

then filled the oil and coolant ,and got it cranking!

Unfortunately could'nt get it started, looks like the phase sensor is fooked

Gonna get one this week and try again.

Any noise that the car makes must be a bonus, the only noises people have heard is you moaning whilst trying to push it around in the garage

Re: cossied mk 2 lotus cortina

    It runs!!!!!!

Spent most of the day fitting ecu's,map sensors, amps,,cap, leads and

rotorarms with no bloody success, what ever I did,it would only run on one

cyl,and try to run backwards on the others

i then set up astarter button under the bonnet and checked for sparks on

each cyl,no spark on cyl 1.

Decided it had to be the crank pulley,as this is the only thing to have

been changed since the dyno session, fitted a nice alloy set of pulleys.

I stuck my original ,tatty old steel one on,and it fired up 1st time!

I will send the footage to kev,and hopefully he can put it up for me

You sweating reminds me of that pic of you in the mag years ago looking through the slider in the window with a face as red as my car
Mind you i bought one of those cheap cooling fans from tescos the other day 3.95 And it sticks to the inside of my roof and plugs in the cigarette lighter and seems to work quite well

Re: cossied mk 2 lotus cortina

Been getting back on the tina this week after being evicted back to my

lock up a couple of months ago

Also been waiting about a month for a mate of mine to do the labels

on my power/switch box,and steering wheel.

Tried to fit it back in ,but the mounting brackets I made were too low,so

I've made some more, gonna trial fit it today and then get em powder

    coated.

Also had to move the ignition coil which is mounted off of the dash

underside, and sort out a blowing fuse prob in my dash top,all sorted now

    tho!

Ordered some carbon fibre from john cross the other day to make my door cardsas well,

should pick it up this week as well.
