    A question of jumping......

How can i stop my single play cd head unit from jumping?
Its mounted in a standard r.c.a cage, in a series 2 esc RST.
The car is on Koni`s and with 40 profile tyres?
Have i much chance of stopping this from happening?

    Thanks

is it mounted so it tilts downwards at quite a sharp angle, that can cause it.

in my car theres a cd headunit and changer and its lowered 40mm and on low profiles and it never jumps even on the bumpiest roads in the country (fenland sunken roads) but both are mounted at the angle they are intended.

if theres no easy way of getting it to mount flat, it might be worth considering a cd changer in the boot.

on my rst i had to mount a strap on the back of the unit to stop it bouncing, the standard rst stereo mounting is flexible and vibrate's quite badly, my cd used to skip all the time, just make sure the cage is tight in the hole and put a strap on the back of the unit (there should be a screw hole there) and mount it either up or down to a solid mounting point.
