    Gearbox advice --- FREE.

Hi you lot, I'm new on here so be gentle with me. I already post on a few other forums using the same name, maybe some of you have seen me there? Well the long and short of it is I own my own business repairing/reconditioning manual gearboxes & diffs. I don't use these forums as free advertising & don't give out my company details on them either, if you need my services the fair thing to do is to e-mail me & I will give you the details that way. But if you have any queries & questions regarding manual gearboxes & diffs please feel free to ask - it's free & honest. That's it, thanks for your time. Regards - the chubby gearbox man - Neil.

I am wanting some low gears for My escort. eg 4.9 to 1.

Second hand ones are rare, here in OZ.

They are available new from Burton for about 150, or secondhand for about 80 or less if you get a result.

I may have a secondhand one here

That's good to hear. 2nd and 3rd gears are a little sticky when changing down when driving hard on track
