Re: 1600cc pinto
pretty much everything that works on the 2.0L works on the 1.6, but i dunno why you'd bother, your starting nearly 20 hp down in the first place, might as well just start with the bigger motor?

Re: 1600cc pinto
the 1300 head is the one to have, ports are crap, but they are so small there loads opf metal there to shape some nice big smooth ones. rare now though.

Re: 1600cc pinto
well have to use the 1600cc pinto as its the only one i found, 2l are not easily found, but i was extremely lucky to get the 1600cc at 100 pounds..
But i was told if i put a 2l crankshaft in it would go up to 1800cc and have the potential to beat many 2l pintos, with the proper tuning and head work.

Re: 1600cc pinto
cranks can be obtained from crack blocks. Owners of the 2l pinto will sell the extra parts they have before they sell the blocks .
modified piston for nothing as i will machine them to suit myself.

Re: 1600cc pinto
where are you based? there's LOADS of 2 litre pinto's in sierra's in scrappys around these parts! could probably buy a rusty one for £50 with an engine in it.
