xflow difference

hi could any one tell me the difference if any between a mk1 xflow and a mk1 xr2 xflow would a xr2 xflow fit in mk1 escort also would any of the parts off xr2 lump be of any use o0n a mk1 escort xflow as ive a xr2 engine gathering dust in garage

XR2 lump hasnt got the correct engine mounting positions for a rwd application,the bolt holes etc r all different,dunno about the other bits

I had heard the engine block was actually slightly shorter,

Dunno if true or not, said the crank, cam etc are all different?????????

Anyone know?

the head dont fit, thats why i bought an engine from you Mark, i tried to fit one to my original 1600 when the head cracked, the XR2 head bolts up but the engine wont turn over.
