I was really looking forward to driving the old girl again once i had my license back, but now i am driving again, i must admit that its got a bit boring-even on my first drive back out in her, i was back home after 10mins cos i was fed up

what size wheels and tyres have you got on it??
they are 7j x 13 superlites with 185/60 tyres

engine wise i rebuilt a 1300GT with heavy duty bearings, Kent fast road cam(BCF2), heavy duty valve springs, unleaded head, 32 DGV carb(twin choke) performance manifold and single box exhaust, K&N filter.think thats it?
I bought it as a standard 1100 pop and have done all the mod myself
It would be a shame to sell after doing all that work on it and getting it looking that good.
Keep it! You will only end up buying one back in a few years which will cost you double what they are worth now and have to do all that work again.
Maybe you can get a 1600 lump and insure it elsewhere cheaper.
The wheels look great and I prefer the Cibies on the car. You got a geat website too.

just put a 1600 in it, nobody will know
gone are the days when the old bill could tell the differece from a 1300 to a 1600
you'll regret selling it when your cover comes down, even a standard 2.0 litre is mucho fun to drive. fit a pinto and an LSD and its fuggin GREAT!

I'd paint your rear floor black, or rip the carpet out and do the lot in white, rally stylee

I think its time to get a nice 2ltr pinto in there mate that will give it some more ooooomph
well, might start to build a 1700 for it, will have to see what the next few weeks brings
Stop faffing around scoffer, build a pinto capable of losing your license again all by itself

Well until the insurance comes down a 1700 would be sweet. Only difference between a 1300 and 1700 is the 1700 block is an inch higher. I doubt anyone would notice that. Don't quote me on that cause I could be wrong.
lol, cheers for that, im just concentrating on tidying her up at the mo, sorting out the jobs that need doing, and getting her ready for the MOT in April
