Re: Yamaha R1
I'd say between £3-3500 depending on private or trade.
Have a look in MCN or in the Autotrader.

Re: Yamaha R1
You've got the new one coming out next year so prices should fall a bit. Brand new ones currently go for £6995, looking at 5year old ones with that mileage I'd see it more at around 4k. Extras don't add any value per-say, but they may save you a bit if you wanted to get them anyway.
How much is he asking?

Re: Yamaha R1
Andy, that add doesn't mention Mileage and by it's own admission says not mint! 4k is the minimum I think people would ask for something like what mav's described.
For 3k I'd rip his arm off mate.

Re: Yamaha R1
Got a mint 99 model myself, this time of year £3.5k would be about it, when these bikes reach 4 or 5 years old they dont depreciate much more due to age, its all about condition then, and season. though I would expect all the original parts too.

Re: Yamaha R1
that autotrader one reckon its been hit up the arse. Different coloured wheels and wave back disc at that mileage hmm alarm bells.
Mavron 3k rip that arm off ! Then rip all the fairing off, fit a set of renthals and come play

Re: Yamaha R1
I,m still thinking about getting an accident damaged one and doing what you suggest Carl, like I,ve said before I could use both of them on the same reg no. ,I like the early bikes too, but not with the pink seats, they,re a bit gay. Still looking for an carbon Akra for mine.
