1997 Suzuki TL1000S 2250...yes 2250...thats more expensive than most. (SOLD)

    For Sale ...Located in Essex

Only selling due to emigrating early next year so will not be using this again now the good weather has gone and they will soon be gritting the roads!

Before I write the rest of this ad... I am after 2250 for this bike..yes I know there are dozens available for 1500 (and less)...but I am after 2250 as this is a very very clean bike...does not need anything doing to it...has all the usual upgrades (except rear shock)...has no leaks of any kind, starts instantly, runs 100% smooth with no stuttering etc, this bike is ready to go out on rather than spend its life in the garage being fixed....I have sorted all the little crap jobs that need doing on these....all you need to do is get on it and ride!

    1997 TL1000S
    Black Metalic
    MOT - 18/08/2015
    18567 Miles
Last stamped service history at 15205 Miles
Logbook is in my name - acquired 03/08/2013 - (5th owner)
All old MOTs, Service Book, Pre-delivery sheet. Spare key

    Bad bits first.
..small dent on tank..about 5mm round, a bigger tank protector would cover it ... 19.99 as per http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-TL1...item4d22f4d9f2

Original rear shock..so if you are a Rossi wannabe and think you can outperform a standard shock then its not so good for you...I have never found the rear shocks to be a limiting factor on the road..maybe I'm just too sloowwww.

    Good Bits.

    Genuine excellent condition bike
ALL the usual niggles have been done

GSXR750 K5 front forks... rebuilt and rechromed ...receipt for 340 (20/06/2014) has done about 250 miles on these!...work done by www.pittedforks.co.uk

new K5 front fender (black FG)

    ZX6R Radial Tokico 4 pots (rebuilt/painted)

    New pads (EBC 90!!! )

New front brake lines - Black covered Braided twin line setup, stainless bolts, black anodised joints.

Full stainless exhaust system with unmarked Scorpion carbon cans

    Rear Hugger

Crashbungs - front spindle and frame spars

    Riflemans quick action throttle

    Timing Retard Eliminator

    Coil + mod

Later Thermostat mod done using brand new thermostat housing, brand new water pump cover.

    Plugs changed recently
    Air Filter changed recently

Oil/Filter changed at least every 500 miles since I've owned the bike ( I am fanatical about oil/filter changes!)..best thing you can do to give an engine a long life.

Tyres have done less than 1500 miles

Later 2 piece fairing stay fitted (makes it easier to lift tank)

Spares available - original forks, immaculate but do require a build as one of them just will not stop leaking, have tried 2 lots of new seals so there is something wrong else wrong with them.
    Original front calipers

    Original front fender

Power Commander2 (can be plugged in to prove it works)

Larger Rear Sprocket/Smaller front ... hardly any use

    Pair Standard Exhaust Cans

    Spare GSXR K5 front fender

So there you have it...no leaky tank, no leaky forks, no underheating/over cooling, no stuttering, no cover leaks.. runs and rides perfectly... bike just needs to be ridden!. I'm after 2250, sorry no PX as there will be no more biking for me :-(
Located in SS6 (UK), no test ride without full cash payment in my hand/proof insurance etc....usual stuff.
Please PM if you are "genuinely" interested... this is a genuine excellent condition bike, not a 1500 project.

    Cheers
    Dave
