    xflow lifting eyes

Do these exist? Picking up an engine on the weekend and there are none on it so not sure how to lift it out of the engine bay.

rope looped around manifolds. i often lift engines out with a short length of chain bolted to convenient holes in the head or block. garage next door simply ties a length of seat belt to them somewhere either side or front and back.

I would say 1 on exhaust stud and one on the inlet at opposite ends they wouldn't be a permanent fit, a x-flow ain't that heavy. I personally made some plates with eye bolts which fit the engine mount bolt holes works for pinto's and x-flow's.

Be careful with that chain, the sump to crank clearance at the front is minimal on a rear bowl Crossflow, a small compression or dent will cause the crank to hit the sump and you will think your bearings have gone.

lift the short engine onto the front panel and then let gravity do its job then onto the spline and wiggle wiggle wiggle. 2 bolts in the bellhousing and then the engine mounts, all 6 of them. never bother with the awkward ones. then fit the head. removal opposite. thats how its done by everyone surely?????
