Unfortunately the time has come that we now need to be VAT registered.
This means that as from March our prices will rise to the general public by 20%.
So if you are looking at some of our parts for your car now is the time to order them!

How does that work then?
Pre VAT registration you would buy something for £50+VAT so pay £60 for it, add £20 mark-up and sell it for £80.
After VAT registration you buy it for £50+VAT but claim the VAT back so it costs you £50. Add your £20 mark-up an you sell it for £70+VAT so £84 to the general public which is only a 5% increase.
Unless you've been buying non-VAT items and now plan to flogging them with VAT...
thats correct, although often you wil find parts actually cost the same, i sell a certain filter for £10 plus vat, ie £12, the non vat bloke round the corner simply sell for £12!
the only time it hurts the public more is labour charges, £50 per hour become £60 per hour with the vat.
Grahams right. Take our sump conversions for example. Customer supplies sump. We cut about and weld up to new configuration. Apart from a small amount of aluminium most the cost is labour hence 20%.
