just got back from north weald with one broken .XR4 first thing to go was all the wheel studs on the n/s rear wheel we was just coming round the top bend when there was a loud bang the rear of the car jumped up in the air then the rear wheel went past us me and glyn (mogsmex ) just looked at each other and pissed our selfs laughing as you can see from the pic there is not much left of the studs it also reshaped the exhaust for us as you can see we did repair it and got it going again but then the gear box went so there is plenty to do for the next outing .

thats the thing, basically the car went about 2 foot in the air as the wheel flipped under the car, taking the exhaust and most of the wheel arch with it, it felt like the whole driveshaft had flipped round in the car , we spun 360 then came to a rest sitting a "bit" down on one side and watched the wheel majestically roll down the tarmac off into the sunset as Gary said we was pi$$ing ourselves laughing all the time, but on the road it would have been brown pants time still it did come back for the rest of the day, as seen below



but by 2 oclock we had a 3 speed gearbox, and 3.30 we had a 1 speed (5th ) so that was the end of that, good fun though roll on brunters

ps, about half hour after our little mishap Wyn outdone is with a stub axle totally shearing off see message centre

LOL, Yup, at least our "proper" 4i (complete with jacked up rear end) isnt busted..... yet.

Its even funnier when the wheel leaves the car and hits a 10 grand freshly repainted car parked up. PMSL
