replacing mk2 inner sill and floor pan

I need to replace my inner sills and front floor pans, but i dont want to distrub the outter sill,

my plan was to drill out seat suports cut down the bottom of outer sill were they always go(were it meets inner sill) and piece a new bottom of out sill on once ineer sill has been replaced and front floor pans.

do i need to brace the door well to stop shell flexing i will be doing this job with the car on axle stands to start with while tacking pieces in. Then car will go on spit to finish.

I ideas or advice would be great.

this is what i have to work with
