Do I need vacum advance with weber twin 40's on 1.6 crossflow

Hi All, Just after some advice/clarification. I've got a totally reconditioned 1.6 crossflow, rebored etc, with a 1.6gt head, the heads been polished unsure if ported. My question is...Do i leave the vacumn advance pipe disconnected with twin 40's. I've purchased brand new twin 40's jetted for a 1.6 crossflow, was told I don't need the vacumn advance???

    Any advice really appreciated

leave the vac advance disconnected, BUT you will need to advance the timing by several degrees
