swopped my 1600 sport MK2 for a 1275 GT clubman mini.
will get slated for this but I how I cried for weeks until I got rid and went back to OSF's.
my mates were into them and I bowed down to the pressure and wish I didn't.
did not get the whole mini scene at all.
Fiat Regata......It was a crap. Newer ever again
Not many fords on this list
Time I added a couple
1.8 glx CVH Sierra. Think I was expecting too much, rear wheel drive Ford, that'll be OK as a daily, No, 'orrible
Sorry, another Ford, Series 2 RS Turbo. OK it might be that the one I had was a bit long in the tooth, but I just couldn't get on with it. Brake pedal was dead and the handling didn't inspire any confidence in the corners. Only redeeming feature was the speed in a straight line, but what use is that if you feel like you're going off at the next bend, sorry, another
Vauxhall Corsa B 3-cylinder courtesy car from some garage
i feel your pain mate, i had the corsa c 3 cylinder for a week, honestly thought it was fecked until i popped the bonnet and realised it actually only had 3 cylindersVauxhall Corsa B 3-cylinder courtesy car from some garage
New model Corsa as a hire car - steering is electrically assisted and was so dead, and inputs to the steering produced such random reactions at the wheels, that it genuinely scared me.
If the next generation of drivers learn using that kind of car, they'll never "get" driving.
It was like piloting a playstation except less involving.
Rolls Royce Corniche.
Had this in last week for an oil change. Fooking job to get oil & filter, but while it was here I had a few test drives in it. Genuinely scary - it really does handle like a supertanker and the steering wheel is as thin as a biro pen. This one is in mint condition so fook knows what a tired one is like.
Rolling Royce Corniche - Supertanker? Philistine!
It has the handling of a cricket pitch, do you mind!
Now, worst car.
Has to be my 16v Belmont. Goes like greased weasel sh*t, but suffers from some slight deficiencies. 1. Steering has some joint issues, and 2. Rear brakes are far too good (bias wound fully front, but still locks up the rear at 160mph into Abbey). It's enough to scare the willys out of ya! When its fixed it'll be brill. Right now it's awful!.
As far as road cars go : Mercedes ML - what an awful horrible dreadful experience. Now that handles like a supertanker - the steering responds nearly as quickly as the Exxon Valdiz did. And it drinks DERV like a supertanker gobbles bunker oil. The Alabama Lemon is very high on the list of the most dreadful motor vehicles ever built.
My works van
Vauxhall combo It has the turning circle of a supertanker, the power steering is non existant.... moan moan
Have all your dumps at work!!!Not only will you save money on toilet paper, but you'll also be getting paid for it.
pauxhall Vectra, 98 Reg, god aweful thing, no feel to the steering, crap brakes, even next to the capper, rolled about, no pace even though it was a 2ltr 16v and totally boring
that or a Shitreon C2...steering was stupidly light and didnt give any feedback and the brake, just need to touch them and the ABS kicked in!
"if its too loud, you're too old!"
i know what your sayin in the c2 i had a drive of one of those recently mate raves about it i was terrified.
Hexham and District Motorclub
kia rio, land rover 90 and 110, mini
<Removed, way too large>
Renualt 5 Auto !!!
LOL had to laugh at that my misses has her beloved clio 1.2 i had to borrow it a few times while doing my mark 1 which at the time had drum brakes all round .every time i went out in it and put the brakes on you go threw the window screen they are CRAZY sharpe in these
asides that every time i got in as a passenger the door handle snaps of in your hand so far i have had to go to the scary french renault dealer 3 times to buy new handles
and si steve
a sherpa van most be the worst with the sliding doors at the front evey time you went round a rounabout or anything realy they came open and back then no seatbelts law you can guess what that was like, also i rember a nice bit of ply wood covering the big hole in the foot well just under the pedals thought i was going to loose my legs every time i drove it utter shite
FSO Polenez nuff said
massy tractor- bumpy as fuck flying over jacks field in it with a 3ton trailor hitched on the back, carrying 13 of my mates and the camping gear.. clutch felt stone age, well it was 40 year old..
kawasaki mule, going round harrys pad, flat out ( limited to20mph) round trees on an off camber hill, crapping your pants thinking its gonna roll until finally you trust the machine, oh no seat belts btw, wouldnt dare do it anymore with its fresh tires on, you'd be straight over..
Poxhall Corsa (A) , Poxhall Pectra A,B,C, both utter sh1t, how anyone can be an enthusiast and own one of these is a contradiction.
Mk1 Mondeo 2.0 4x4 si / Mondeo Mk3 Ghia x
in my experience the worst car i driven are the ford fiesta mk3 which didn't any anti-roll bars at the front as the pervious owner had decided to take them off why?second car is a 1989 nissian micra every corner i came to and slowed down 20mph sometimes the rear wheels would grind on the arch and exhaust used to pop out of the downpipe every so once and give up after 2months and went to work in my dad's car a morris marina seem much better compared to the micra because it had been looked after
My R reg'd Escort 1.4LX is pretty dull and slow, i bought it 6 months ago as a daily work horse.
last week i had to have a new clutch fitted £154, now this week the batterys gone flat twice, so it looks as if ive got to
fork out for a new alternator....so i cant even say its been reliable lolol....
Worst car by a MILE is the PT Cruiser 2l petrol
Had one in loads of times for LPG running faults and I could not believe it was a 2 litre, a 1.1 Fiesta has more guts, auto box is nasty, just drops the next gear in when it feels like it.
Really really bad cars lol
Mk4 xr3i, thought it would handle alright as I'd had xr2s before, how wrong was I, never want to drive another one
just driven a transit connect, clutch was much heavier than expected and the seat has given me terrible backach, horrible piece of shit to drive.
its not dead till it's buried!
T.I.T engineering. "Feel the power!"
I'm nominating my current daily driver, a 98' nissan primera, the dullest most boring car I've ever driven, sold my mk6 escort si, bought this cause it was dirt cheap, currently saving for something else, prefferably anything that isnt a nissan primera lol
a mk6 escort i had on a n reg, had it 3 years ago.
what a pile a shite the zetec engine is (well that 1)
Mine was a 1973 porsche 911 I couldnt belive how crap the brakes and the genaral feel of the car was
Mitsubishi Space star, honestly like driving a 24 tonne truck with only 95 brake. Mondeo 2.0, couldnt pull the skin off soup felt like i was trying to corner the bismark after the torpedo attack. Fiesta Mk6 1.25, honestly what have they done to them to make them handle so badly less said about the driving position the better.
fiat chinquento
Ugliest most boring car i have ever driven that i managed to get onto two wheels cos it rolled so much, and i drive a van for a living!
its not dead till it's buried!
T.I.T engineering. "Feel the power!"
years ago bought a "new" lada niva or somthing as they gave a million pounds in px against a scrap metro, kept it about a week.very similarto a sixties rotavator.
EVERY DAY,S A LEARNING DAY
My mates '03 Citroen C3 1.4. I know its not meant to be fast or handle well but it was so muted and 21st Century.
Couldn't hear it ticking over, steering and clutch were way too light.
Bored the hell out of me!
Fiat Doblo Van
followed by any vauxhaull i've ever driven
My Project... Fiesta D-TEC
Worst car by far was a 2005 Toyota Yaris. It had an accelerator with no feel whatsoever and it contained a never ending sea of cheap plastic fittings. It managed to beat a 1998 Toyota Camry that would have to be the most boring car ever to drive.
Going to add another, test drove a mondeo ST TDCI a while back expecting it to be a good car...what a failure. The interior was just such an awful place to be with horrble creaks and rattles everywhere (and I mean everywhere) steering was just a bag of shite and the gears were awful. I actually thought the turbo was fucked...massive dissappointment, it is why I will never buy a ford newer than a mk4 escort.
I would like to second this! I drove a 2.4L convertible in the states a year or two back....
I have NEVER been SO embarrassed by anything in my entire life.....and I have done some stoopid st*t! lol
More scuttle-shake than a 1975 3.0 V8 Stag with a broken chassis....I know...I had one!
Do not EVER buy, sit in, look at or even consider talking about one of these ridiculous "yanks" as they WILL kill you....and make you look like a cheap-arsed hairdresser at the same time.
Other than that..... 1972 canary yellow, 2 door, Vauxhall Viva.....wait for it.....
....1149cc!!!!
OOohhh...what a moooo-ver!!
