Here's a few more for you.
Could I have one close-up straight on pic of the cam belt warning label ? And the VIN ?

Thanks again for all the feedback !
Not had much chance to get much work done ... mostly interior modelling.
But changed under the bonnet, thanks FasterFords !
And modified the glass in the lights :
Stunning as ever
No problem about the pics, if you need anything else, give me a shout.
Might be worth checking out my brochures and letting me know if you want any more scanned in larger.

Top Job Mate
Thanks again for the feedback !
Thanks for those links FasterFords - very helpful
I've been quite busy trying to model the interior - adding seats, carpet, centre console ...
Dave
Tried to post Images ... but doesn't seem to work at present !
Interior:
Interior pic 1
Interior pic 2
You have to use the turbosport uploader to post pics here now. As people who use photbucket delete there pictures we are let with red x's.
Top job by the way
Thanks for telling me that, Sharon. Pity. When did you decide that ??? I host my images on my own website.
Testing :
You can now see the roll-tops inside
Dave
Hi,
I've been busy on the interior :
Thought you might like to see this - another 3D modeller is doing an RS 500 :
You can see his thread at : CGTalk BB - 3D Graphics BB
REQUEST:
Does anyone have a pic of the rear interior of the 2-door MK1. I can see from my model that the rear wheel arch must come into the interior - A pic showing the side-panel and seat would be great !!!!
the seats look good.
That website is top too, lost myself for a while in all the pics...
yeah, nice work, didnt realise there were so many people doing this sort of thing!
Thought you might like to see this ...
I took a break from the interior (anybody got any images ??) to try getting teh Silver Colour right. Popped it into a simple environment and ...
I think it is getting there !
How about a welder in the background
what about a leaky rad or oil patch top work DAVE keep the pics coming
Fantastic i cant believe i missed this thread till now, keep up the good work and i think we have a god amongst us
That is shit hot mate well done!! that picture, is there any chance you could do the bonnet and the tops of the wings satin black for me!? Just testing the water on a few ideas!
Dan
Just a very quick and rough attempt - should give you an idea . I suppose teh panel in front of the windscreen should be done too ?
Been looking at this thread for a bit but not typed anything, so here goes.
F**king ace .
That looks the nuts mate!!! Your a genius and a half!!
Have set that as my wallpaper now!! Top top top!!
Thanks for all the comments guys !
OK ... I've been working away on lots of little things - still working away on the interior. Its at that stage where it doesn't appear to be moving forward, but a lot of essential little details are being made.
The idea of me making it in a typical lock-up with oils stains, welders etc ... is actually VERY interesting ! Get your cameras ready !
I am now going off on holiday for 3 weeks ... I NEED it. Going to get away from the computer for a little while ... if anybody knows someone who is actually selling a real RS2000 - let me know. Seriously !
Here is a little update (now converted to type49 shell) :
Dave
my jaw has been on the floor for the last 5 minutes. Top top modeling
Cannot wait to see the finished article
Hi Dave can this be done in Autodesk Inventor 5 software? As you say you need dimensions to get parts correct. Top job, always wanted to do something like that or know how to do it.
Yep, ive only just seen this thread thanks to Styut, and im speechless!!! Absolutly fantastic!
this colour scheme
with these wheels
and this works interiour
that would be my dream mk1
How impressed am I
Awesome
I saw your 3d Model printed on someones handouts today at Castle Combe, did you know ?
FasterFords: Thanks for letting me know. No, I did not know that. Does anyone have one of these handouts - who was handing them out ? And advertising what ? Was it images I posted here ?
Bit cheeky to use it without having the courtesy to get in touch with me - not to say illegal to plagiarise someones hard work.
Whoever was using my images for advertising ... drop me a line...
duncan : Mmm ... I haven't made any bigwings yet. Colour scheme would be possible but take a bit of work. And I haven't finished the standard interior yet !!
NR_Boyz : I think the software you mention is more industrial - I am using Studio 3D Max (registered) which is more geared towards graphics/film/games industry. If you want to try it out without paying £3,000 you could try the free games version Gmax, or download the full 3D Max 6 demo (works for 1 month) from the Discreet web site . It is a complex program !
Dave
Hmm haven't got a clue who has used your model pictures. But it was an RSOC show Bloody cheeky if you ask me I hope you find out who it was and when you do give them what for
I grabbed a flyer and will scan it in for you to see, it was a picture that you posted on here.
Here you go.
Just wonder Dave did you make the number plate up?
Just had a look through the posts and you didn't make the number plate up, It looks like styuts number plate, so it has to come off this site
Hope you don't mind Dave put I got this from you web site and I would say this is the picture they used.
Thats the one, but it was posted on here too, page 3 I think.
Cheeky muppets!! That annoys me
What would it have taken for them to just ask if they could have used it Dave probably would have said yes anyway! Just the way people are I suppose
Thanks for that FasterFords !
Yes, Sharon, I added the number plate for Styut's car .. Imagine he will be equally surprised to be advertising for G. S. Escorts !!
I'll be giving them a wee call .....
Dave
Let us know what they say.
