Re: In a lockup - Part III

that is truly outstanding, you just need a mk2 parked on the other side, all arched up and that would be a dream garage...

    Little Update ...

Thanks for all the comments ! Not put anything inside the crsip box, but I'm glad it is being noticed
Loft ???? I'm still looking for junk to put on the shelves ... mmmm ... junk that is instantly recognisable by you guys ! I also need to add a rear view mirror and seatbelts ...

I am now mostly playing around with the lighting in the garage .... nearly ready for a test print. I rendered it at a high res for an A4 print (Looks STUNNING ). Here is a little detail shot to show you the resolution I am printing at A4 .... next I want a HUGE print ...

Full scene looks like this now - many small changes and lighting fixes :

And here I was just mucking around :

Good point, Yodi. You can't see the old calipers - so I replaced them with these nice new wilwood 6-pots

That should make her stop !

    The Lockup evolves ...

    Thanks again guys !

Well spotted Matrix !!!!! I mirrored the shelf and bits for the other side of the lockup - but being mirrored again in the car's paint ... makes it look normal. Now corrected that.

thanks for all the ideas. Added a stain to the floor, shiny windows and tools .. and lots and lots of small tweaks to the environment :

Will now work on the lock-up ... making it less computer-generated.

Dave just a small point...on the spare rs the front panel has a crease above the vents and a small one just under them if you get what i mean...go look at yours to see lol

Apart from that niggly bit its bloody mind boggling Oh thought about being naughty and running black and silver plates for the proper old look (even though its meant to be pre 72 cars with them i think )

    Yup .. too shiny.

Another view. Now almost ready to join the 2 halves of the body. But before I do that might have a go at reshaping the bulkead above the heater ...

What is this in the Lockup ???? ...

Thanks Yodi - that is very helpful, I can see very clearly now the outline of the front panel And also how the bulkhead above the heater and big wings look ... I'll start to modify the panels on the Escort.

Now for something completely different, found an old model and tried it in the lockup :

    Thanks for the comments !

Mmm ... some relays on the inner wing ? I'll need to do something about that !

Never thought of getting into the games market. Had a quick look earlier about making a model to import into some of the games - not that straightforward though, and I model with many, MANY polygons - not good for game models !

Haven't modified the front panel yet - just been modifying the textures in the environment.

Here is an image without textures and one with :

    and in colour :

Re: What is this in the Lockup ???? ...

I do so enjoy popping into this post once in a while

Dave have you sorted out the lawyer angle yet? If not start using a digital marker on any picture you post to the web. There is software around to do this though I cannot remember what it is called. A friend uses a program I will try to find out what program he uses. That way no one can reproduce the photo's without you permission.

As to the work brilliant Alway's fancied a go at this sort of thing ever since I stumbled across a site called digital blasphemy. Never got around to it though

One thing strikes me every time I look at the car in the garage/lockup...
Should the front wheels be aligned with the back wheels. If a car was reversed into the lockup in real life a straight alignment is more likely than slightly turned in.

In my opinion they should be straight but this is your model so you do what you want.

Once again we are not worthy

BTW enjoy the real car as well...will you be planning a cossie lump install for that

    whoops long post

    Rusty wing ???

Thanks again for the feedback guys

billy_bunter : Yes ... the wheel might not be in that position but it is more intersting to see. Just composition. Not got anything planned for my real Mk1 yet !

Here is a little update. I'm trying to make it more realistic. Working on the environment and also trying to dirty down the car ...
