    Ha ha !!!

    Fantastic !!!!! THANKS PopupToaster !! GREAT ! That's one I owe you !

I had a look earlier - but without registering I didn't see the blueprints section. Didn't make that mistake this time !!!

I was just mucking about earlier this evening from memory, about 1.5 - 2 hours :

and now have the real things (quickly pasted together from different sources) :

I'll finish the Escort .... but I am VERY tempted to do a Capri Mk1 RS3100 Just LOOK at that long bonnet - and that power bulge ! No doubt, that was obviously designed by a bloke

I had a quick look and couldn't find any good MKII Escort or, in particular, any MKII RS2000 prints But found a cracking big-wing MKI Escort !!!!! Wish I had that earlier !

    Standard Steel Sport Wheels

    Hi all,

I thought I would have a go at these wheels. They will come in handy for whatever car I make next.

    MK1 Capri and/or MKII Escort

    Major Update.

Ok .. have a look at these and see if you can tell what I have changed ? It is a major moving around and reshaping ...

If you compare these images with previous ones you will see that I have shortened the nose ! By a few inches. Quite tricky to do ... but a lot easier than real life I was sitting looking at the model and thinking that something was not quite right ... but now, I think it looks a lot better.

I can draw a MK1 in my sleep now ....

Dalek, If the plans you have are in the same format as above, i.e. a plan, side and end elevation - yes, why not. You can never have too many good quality blueprints.

Boxxer ... When I am starting on the next model I will make a new thread

    Correct Mk1 RS Alloys

DangerousDave: A Ha ! Ok, I'll have a look at the doors. Bit tricky to change as I will also need to change the rubber surrounds too !

I have adjusted the nose even more And had a look at MK1 Alloys - I needed to add some black paint ! Have a look now :

    Still adjusting .....

    Engine bay

Ok ... curved the side windows and a few other small tweaks here and there. Re-did the heater bowl in the engine compartment and tweaked the RS alloys further and added the RS logo to hub cap ....

Almost ready to take her to her first show

    Bronze Mexico

I was playing around with different colours and came up with this browny bronze ...also now added the Mexico roof stripes, and in this example some bonnet pins ..

I am very nearly finished with the model. Almost ready to test print a nice big one for myself

    Chrome Escort !!

Tepi : Thanks !!!! That's very helpful. I am very keen on doing a MK1 Capri next .. unless I can find a good set of MKII Escort plans anyone ???

Andy : Yes, I saw the link you posted and had a good look. I'll certainly use them for reference if I put big wings on. I'm itching to start a new model now though ..

Popuptoaster ... Chrome See below. Chrome is always difficult in 3D ... and when people are learning to paint. It is defined almost entirely by what it reflects not the actual colour of the chrome ! So I have had to give the chrome something to reflect. Little bit of artistic liberty ... but it looks OK ... Move over Jaguar with their polished alloy XJ

BigJay, have a look below. I was trying a few things today so tried to match your colour - had to look in another post for your reg no ! I couldn't read it either from your sig. You must eat a power of carrots

I then tried it with all the wheels I have made - I see that you are thinking on what to use ... this should give you more food for thought ..

    Steel Wheels :

    Classic:

    Standard RS (my favourite - just looks R I G H T) :

Standard RS alloys with centres colour-coded :

    7" RS alloys :

Bit of bling ! 15" Split rims

And why not .... Chrome the lot !
