Looks a bloody nice car Makes a nice change to see something other than an Escort (even though I love 'em).

very nice, I love the way all the pipes, wires/cables etc are hidden out of the way, makes it look very neat

Lee, there was one in classic ford a few months ago with a rs turbo engine in and still had the original std drum brakes
was it the same one by any chance?

I would be intrested to know how you did your conversion. How did you sort out the ignition side? Water rail? Clutch? Fuelling etc?

Alright mate, top Prefect. Did you do the Zetec install yourself? How difficult was it? Have you had it featured in any magazines?

Will reply for my mate as his pc is out of action!!,

Car is owned by Chris Cummings & all the mods were done by the owner in a single garage!

Car features modified bulkhead, enlarged trans tunnell,2.0 zetec running on a dgas downdraught carb fed by a facet electric pump,fiesta/escort hcs ignition, retro daves sump-engine mounts-water rail,vw polo rad & expansion tank,"type 9" 5speed box on sierra crossmember, custom built prop, modified escort mk2 rack crossmember & 2.8 capri struts with tweaked top mounts to give more negative camber, narrowed anglia 105e axle & spax shocks. All body mods & full 2 pack repaint were done by the owner.
No magazine features just the odd pic at the ace cafe so ive added a few pics of my own!!

Car was previously owned by Chris's cousin & many years ago could be seen at the chelsea cruise in standard trim but fitted with a set of wheelie bars!! it was then sold to Chris's brother & at that time me & chris were at school together & i often asked if it would be ready for "next months" chelsea cruise!!! 16 years later its finally back on the road looking better than ever but theres still more mods to come so watch this space!!!

Forgot to add when these pics were taken at Santa pod,the car ran a 16.3,first time up the strip for the car & the driver!! Probably would have been quicker if it didnt have a boot full of tools, spares, sandwiches etc!!

    Re: my zefect

Cheers for the reply mate. Extra pictures of the car look smashin', it's a real beauty. Anyway, the reason I'm so interested in the car is that I'm the new editor of Classic Ford magazine (Marc Stretton has now left the building) and I'd like to get it featured asap - as long as Chris is up for it obviously.
If he is could you get him to give me a bell at the mag on 01452 317765, ask for Steve. I look forward to talking to him.

    Thanks again
