BOOST GAUGE AND DUMP VALVE
Hi all,
Just wondering if someone out there could tell me where in the engine bay do I connect a boost gauge and dump valve. I've been told of a number of places but am a bit confused as to which is the right place.
Cheers

Re: BOOST GAUGE AND DUMP VALVE
the dump valve goes on ur top boost hose m8, u need to make a cut in it and put a t-peice in, then connect up the dump valve, then connect the small vacume hose to the top of the dump valve, the other end of this vacume pipe should connect to the similar sized piping comming from the right side of ur inlet manafold on the top of it. u need to cut this pipe also and insert another t-peice.
to connect the boost guage u can use the same pipe u connected the vacume pipe for the dump valve, just cut it further along and use another t-peice

Re: BOOST GAUGE AND DUMP VALVE
pretty much as Jody said m8 - either get a hose specifically with a dumpvalve take off to go between the charge carrier pipe and the top end of the intercooler for the fat end or else cut the existing hose and use an ally t-piece (usually sold as a dump valve fitting kit) to go in there. the other end goes to one of the hoses off the top of the plenum chamber at the back of the engine bay - i've always used the right hand one (as you look at it fronm the front) as apparently the left hand one can give oiling problems - using a plastic t-piece (avilablle from halfrauds)
the boost guage should have just one vacuum hose connection which can be joined to the same pipe on the plenum although be sure to use a grommet when going throught the bulkhead or you risk slicing the hose and losing boost!!! might have a lighting connection as well in which cxase wire to the lighting circuit.. probably best to use a relay for this but i'm sure someone better on electrice will be able to tell you for sure!
HTH,
mark.
