Longer speedo cable

This is probably a really lame/easy question but here goes...what speedo cable should I get for my MKII RS? I've heard that if I get a longer one it can be re-routed so my - Ashley - exhaust doesnt melt it again.

Lincolndanny advised me to get a sierra one from Halfords, it worked a treat. However it was a dicontinued product and I got the last one for £2.50. Cheers Dan

Funny you should say that it is white, a MKII RS2000. A few modest mods namely: Kent cam, injection head, 205 engine rebored, 45's, ashley, lowered, retrimmed.

And I must put some money aside to get a digital camera.

Knowing Ford they probably didn't change their speedos much until the electric ones came in. Therefore, just about any late 70s/early 80s speedo will be fine.
