Mark, Your only option is to talk to Roll Center(01480 464052) or Custom Cages (01327872855) and get one of those to spec a cage up, shouldnt be too much as its quite square inside. Or if you want to drag me away from the shell I'll call them for you
You can change the 4th spark plug now and one turret is in. The other will be in this afternoon, don't you just the love the smell of burning old pigiron.........

The popular choice is the two tone colours that it's in,,, say Panther Black and a flip Burgandy

Re: CAN YOU GUESS WHAT IT IS?

Heres the latest pics, both sets of arches done, the fronts have been an absolute pain to fit as we wanted to keep them below the swage line, so the top radius had to beaten down by about 2" so the the arch flows into the swage. The wheels that will be going on the car are 2" taller than these 21"s, so the gaps round the arches will be a little less but i hope you all can see what I can.....
This is going to be a goodun

Re: CAN YOU GUESS WHAT IT IS?

Me thinks me needs to get Ferg do his wonders on it in the photoshop, perhaps he can put the 3 piece minilite rims from IMAGE. And play with the colours, I'll have to get a side on pic sorted.

And to everyone who has said positive things about this car and the work, Thank You All, but some of that praise should go to Mark (popworth) He said yes to the arches at the end of 5 hours debate. It was touch and go for a while, the car may have had the chassis moved and a new rear floor panel with Hooooge tubs and a Lickle teeny weeny atlas under the back, I had visions of it wobbling down the road with a 4 foot track width, so thanks go to Mark from me for listening.

good idea Thats a hand tool then?

the only proper ones i've seen for sale over here are the type that you put in a press, which is no good if you dont have a press or want to swage one in situ

i've only seen the proper hand tool ones for sale in the USA and very expensive for what they are

You can use a door lock re-forming tool, they are avalible from lots of tool suppliers, only good on small holes though. I used to have a complete set that was stolen, I'll get round to making them again one day, takes ages with an old lathe, matching the female and male cutters on the grindstone. Need to buy a CNC lathe.

Well a few more pics of whats going on this car, here is the piece I have had to fabricate to mount the bonnet hinges on as we have to make as much room for the rad and intercooler as possible, the ends havn't been done yet that will attach it to the inner wings, the whole front end will be able to unbolt so access to the engine will be very good. (good thing with a Cossie)
