    Twin plate clutch release bearing

    Evening one and all,

having a a few issues with my current xe engine but one of the issues is after replacing my clutch with an ap racing twin plate the release bearing won't engage the pressure plate properly. Is there a spacer or bigger release that I need?

racing clutch covers need a round faced release bearing, the usual way to do this is to fit a rounded adator to the std release bearing, which not only makes it the right shape but thicker

I have a 15mm spacer behind the bearing and as above
I use a rounder faced bearing
I had a few different makes of hearing some were rounded than others but the first bearing I tried squealed as it was not operating flush because it wasn't round enough
Burton sell a bearing spacer which needs a bit of machine work on a lathe but can be added on to an original housing fairly easily

Re: Twin plate clutch release bearing

Hi guys, I was wondering what the issue would be if any I should expect from my setup.

I have a QED fast raod pressure plate and fast road plate. But I have the uprated steel carrier and rounded release bearing.

Some guys mention that the travel will be too long? Any thoughts as I dont fancy dropping the engine and box again as a result.

    Thanks
