Easiest way is to fit new metric studs. Then any wheelnuts off a modern Ford with alloys will fit.

Pretty sure if it's a late floor Mk1 it'll be metric studs so as Dave said any ford alloy wheel nut should fit.

Midland wheel might do the imperial type nuts you need - if this is the case upgrading the studs to metric would useful

Simon, call Steve at www.retro-UK.com, he can supply 7/16 unf nuts with a loose collar to fit Laser wheels. I have had a set from him, they are perfect. Also Motorsport tools can supply an insert that will allow the use of std nuts BUT the studs need to be longer and they are expensive.

That's useful to know mate. All my cars have always had Metric studs so I'd never thought what someone with Imperial might do in this situation

    Good call!

The nuts are the same as Mk1 RS2000 tube nuts for RS alloys but instead of the thin flat seating washer, Steve has had some conical inserts machined to fit the Laser taper. They work a treat.

The pairing ends up looking just like a Ford Metric Alloy combination except that the collar is loose.
