escort mk2 pinto turbo dump valve

    Heya

Wanting to fit a damp valve to my pinto turbo

Using twin dhla 45s from a lotus esprit turbo.

My question is will a dump valve work from the single existing take off port in my intake manifold from cylinder 1? Or will this cause a dump valve to pulse to much due to not getting the constant vac from all cylinders?

    Cheers

A dump valve will always flutter to a certain degree when no boost is present unless a strong spring is fitted. A single port is fine as any significant vacuum source will open the valve - vacuum will be same whether from 1 or 4 ports. Pulsing doesn't matter so much unlike say a MAP sensor that needs consistant signal.
