    RST mk1/2 Escort anyone?

Has anyone considered this? The CVH went into some sierras so u surley must be able to fit one from an RST into an escort using sierra bits

Let me know what you think. There is probably a really simple and obvious explaination why this hasnt been done. Bu I cant think of one, so why not do it?

Maybe its because the CVH is a engine, let me know!

Its definately possible but for the same amount of money and effort you could have a zetec/duratec/vauxhall xe and possibly even a cossie. Or for loads cheaper you can have a pinto. Just not worth the hassle imo cos yes it is a engine.

Its been asked before, pretty sure the results were that the engine isn't worth the effort.

There was a pop or 100e in classic ford a while back that had a rst lump in it, wasn't that great on power either and looked a bit shit to be honest!

i would go with the more traditional route, pinto/cossie/xe etc. less hassle and look right!!

To be fair though that pop was a bit of a botch job. Still had standard suspension and all round drum brakes

The problem is if you use the standard rst head and turbo manifold then the turbo inlet faces the bulkhead

And look at how much the bulkhead is modified for it! Sod that, if I'm gonna do that I want to at least fit a decent engine. IMO the CVH makes no sense at all for a RWD car. For a mk1 fiesta however an RS turbo engine could be a lot of fun
