2.0 16v vauxhall into mk 2

im wondering if any one could give me some information i am in the process of building a grp 4 spec mk 2 for the road and i am undecided on what engine to fit to it although i am swaying towards a vauxhall 2.0 16v,i am ondering would an have information on same and will i have to cut the bulk if mounting to a world cup cross member

hi m8 there is a number of ways to do it.u can cut the bulk head but it depends on wot ignition ur using.if u are using mbe u can cut off the rear of the head were the dizzy goes this is a an sbd conversion if u do it this way u wont have to cut the bulk head .ive had a 16v in all my car's since about 1995 ie escort's anglia's and the newst being a starlet if u need anymore info i'll be more than happy to help
