Can you fit these using the mounts/sump, etc from Retro Ford or is the engine completely different?

block is almost the same, engine brackets will fit.
not sure about oil pipe, but sump will fit.

Well I need to know for sure if the mounts, sump and water rail are the same cos I think it would be better to get a newer engine if it will fit cos they seem to be around the same price.

There are differences, it's taller for a start, but huge amounts of potential. Have a look at www.raceline.co.uk as the already offer all the toys you need to fit them to kit cars.
