I thought this looked like it had loads of potential,so I snapped it up off eBay this morning.I will be collecting it later this week as it's not too far from me.
Not sure when it will get started,as the other one's not finished yet,but with the parts already fitted it was too good to pass up.
It will be getting pulled apart completely and have a full nut and bolt resto like the other one.
It's got a VFR400 single sided swingarm and rear wheel and an Aprilia front end with USD forks.The lights and bars will go and the engine will be fully re-built.
Another great thing is it has early 'N' model body work,but is '89 registered,so I can put on my E11 CEE reg number.

These are just the pics that were on eBay.I'll get some better ones when I have collected the bike.

loads of potentail there mate. Chuck that horribale aprilla wheel and get a matching honda one in there. 2 into 1 left hand exit spannies would be trick n all or maybe well jacked up with underseat, plenty of room with that cantilever shock.

Underseat pipes would be great.Can't be doing with that front wheel either.It's only single disc too.

Picked it up this evening.

Not too bad.Paintwork is pretty good,Mods seem to have been done by someone with a reasonable amount of engineering skill,non starter due to flat battery and lots of rusty nuts and bolts,but not surprising as it's been stood outside for 4 months.
It turns out that it's an early 31K model declared manufactured in '84 but registered in '89 so either it had been stored or,more likely it's an import,judging by the Irish plate.
All good news for me though as I can still put on it
