    new cam

    ive jus fitted a piper 285t2 cam,, in my s2 rst,, all fited ok, it runs,,,

    do i have to run it in?

    if i had done it wrong how long b4 id no if id f@*ked it?

    to b honest im a bit para,, can any 1 help??

    sure you have to hold revs at around 2000 for about 20mins to wear it in.Article in last months fast ford or performance ford if you have them telling you how to fit it. i dont really know what im talking about. If you have no luck on here ring Piper

    Yeah hold it above 2500 rpm for 20mins and then change the oil. this will remove all the initial particals from running in the cam. if it is fucked the engine will die with it!
    very tappety and no power. also please check oil pressure this will kill cam if low. If you need anymore advice call Burton Power they deal with technical enquires all the time.
