Trying to find the year/origin of my pinto engine

Hi I have a 2ltr Pinto in my mk1 with Engine No (From V5) BA14731 is there any way I can find out from which model it originated and roughly what year - it might make getting sapres for it a little easier

Sorted many thanks. Now all I need to do is find the correct plug and points gap
