I didnt see all his runs but the runs i saw was early twelves. His brother Gary was running late elevens i think, like i say i didnt see all their runs but they were definitely kicking arse out of that expensive italian shit eg the Ferrari and the Lambo that was running

Nice pics, was a great day but there was another blue mk2 that was even quicker. I have got loads of video to edit and try and get onto computer at some time. The Italian cars didn't have the bottle to go up against the mk2's but did you see that Ferrari doing a donut before he left . Was a good turnout but not so much old school, roll on Classic Ford Day!

I have to say, the sound of the ferrari and lambo was pretty amazing. Dont think you can beat the sound of a screaming ferrari lump, and i hate the cars, lol!

    The other mk2 is terry davies car,he ran a 10.9 @ 129pmh i had to congratulate him,well done mate!
My brother run a 11.72 @ 120mph. Which is very good. My 0-60mph was measured on the stack dash as a 3.57 to 60mph,which i was well chuffed with
My personal best was achieved of a 12.35 @ 110mph so im losing it at the top end, which is confusing, looks like another trip to my engine builder, its so flat in 3rd and 4th gear. It just doesnt want to rev. But that may of been caused by the problem i had when i left pod,i pulled out of the site and the car backfired and cut out. So many people stopped and tried their best to help, puddy, mike stevens, darren moss,kev16v with the blue starlet, and many more, there was about 15 of us on the side of the road at one point trying to suss the problem. In the end i called the rac,but while we was waiting my mate had a look at the timing marks and the bottom pulley bolt had come loose and spun about a quarter of a turn. So when the rac man turned up he loosened it off and re-aligned it and hey presto sorted! Then on the way home, the speedo packed up and the gearbox started making a funny noise in 4th. So im going to locktight the bottom pulley and then go out in it in the dry and try it,and see how the gearbox is then.

That's very impressive, wonder what a list of production cars that could beat that would look like. Not too long I'd bet.

Kev the bottom pulley is keyed if its turned I would take a good look at the nose and woodruf key, the last one I repaired I had to have the crank welded up and the slot remachined as the key was a poor fit.
