It certainly is a rare beast, normally they were gutted by the mini boys

    Re: mg metro turbo

My very first car. Mine was an 1983 A-reg in two-tone silver and black with the MG Turbo graphics along the bottom half, had the bigger MG badge on the grill.

    And red seat belts

It went well, from what I remember. I think we eventually got rid of the engine though as the turbo was shot. After that we fitted a Mini Cooper engine on twin SU's If I recall!

I had one too back in the day. Red seat belts and red carpet too.
Loved the on-off nature of the Turbo.
Being so slow off boost it really felt like you was going when the Turbo spun-up.
Glow in the dark indicator stalks, Alloy rocker cover, Slash cut exhaust..proper 80's style.
Loved it then and would buy another mint one in a shot.

Yes!!! I forgot about that, as well as the Knight Rider style led boost gauge LOL!

My wife would kill me if I bought another project....

... where could I hide it?
