2.0 xe package
Been toying the idea of selling my 2.0 xe engine
its on a wet sump with steel rods, forged pistons
Solid lifters with Kent cams with a JRE profiles
Head has std valves and port work done by JRE race engines
Was built by John Read himself before he went bust, He builds a serious engine but a shit business man, waited over 2 years for it
Engine produces 238bhp running on 45mm jenveys and Dta ecu and rwd loom
Simpson Stainless manifold
Steel flywheel with heavy duty cover and 4 paddle helix paddle plate done less than 15 miles
Complete with starter and alternator
Has done approx 300 miles since it was built and had an oil change before every event and filters
Possibly sell a tran x 5 speed with the engine which was a new gear kit 300 miles ago and has just had full rebuild as a synchro was playing up so it had full set of synchros, bearings, gaskets, seals, needle rollers, main and layshafts changed so its like new,
Also a 47" narrow atlas with 300 miles on a new tran x diff with a 4,6cwp, alloy braced with disc conversion, quaife 2 piece shafts with braided brake lines and a it also had newly built prop with about 300 miles as well.
Alloy fuel tank with built in swirl pot and dash fittings, also tank stand and sytec pump and filter with braided fuel lines.
Will only sell box and axle after engine sells
Any ideas what it could be worth?

Engine will only be sold complete and has to sell before anything else does

Re: 2.0 xe package
Why are you selling it seems like it's all just been built?

Re: 2.0 xe package
at present its all bolted to a tarmac rally car, but over the last few years the msa has applied more and more rules which just add more and more expense to the car owner, seats have to be dated and replaced every 5 years, and the belts, and the new rules for next year helmets have to be snell 2010 or 2015 approved and also hans devices.
i need new helmet next year and a hans device, £600 minimum, plus problems sourcing a navigators who are prepared to contibute, so in short the car is an expensive toy which hardly gets used and is a waste so decided to put back to a stock ecotec engine which wont need a straight cut box or an atlas axle, can be made back to a usable car which will be more comfy and quiet and used lot more
