Yes lol I guess I will find out I'm sure it will be fine but it's a worry when it's going to potentially cost so much

Yes it is a worry mate. I made a big mistake last year by giving my mk1 to some cowboy who I thought was good.
I had read good reviews on him so took a chance. What a pile of rubbish. My mistake was having the car so far away that i couldn't keep an eye on it. When I did get up the car was in primer so couldn't see the metal work he had allegally done. When I got it back in paint it was terrible. I'd already payed him most of the money so screwed. Finally found a good restorer local to me who is doing a great job for me, car been stripped back to bare metal. Can't believe all the Bodges the last place did. Gonna cost me about £9000 to put it right. O well you live and learn. I guess what I'm saying is try to visit as often as the garage allows so you can keep an eye on them.

Wow thanks they are not too far from me but still a bit of a drive they said they would quote me before any work anyway but I have always done all work on my cars before but I've never needed bodywork doing which I've never done so I have to trust it to someone else which I guess is where my paranoia comes from! If they are as good as they seem to be I'm sure I will be happy

I'm like you mate can do most things but body work is not my thing. I've read some good things about were your taking yours and seen a couple of cars at shows which looked really good, so you should be fine. Get them to do lots of pics. Good luck with the build.

One of the important steps is to visit his place before you commit, that way you can see what his standards are like as he will already have several cars there in various stages that way you can reassure yourself. As stated previously, its also important to pay a few visits and make sure you are actually getting what you want

The way forward is DO NOT pay anything until the job is completed or even at different stages so if you aint happy you can alway pull the plug and move else where

He's not trading any more so don't think he's gonna be wrecking any one else pride and joy. Since my experience I've spoke to a couple of other lads who had a bad job done by him. But there are also a lot of lads who were pleased with his work. Obviously they have low standards.
Not really into slagging people in public so won't be naming him. All I will say is that he was located in the oppersite corner of the country to were LAWRENCEN is taking his.
