Rough Cost To Fit Out a Garage

Looking for a bit of advice.
Im looking for a new venture.
I have half decided to rent a local unit to set up a 'rent-a-ramp' type business, but im after a rough idea what it would cost to fit it out?
Among the Items i need are:
    2 x 2 post car lifts
    Workbench
    Press
Couple of complete basic ish tool kits & boxes
    Bench grinder
    Tracking gauges
    Tyre machine
    Balancing machine
    Compressor & air tools
    Anything else i might need!
Would i be better off buying 2nd hand equipment or new?
Currently looking into grants & insurance which isnt looking good but i need a rough cost of fitting the place out anyway.
Any help appreciated chaps, thank you.

If it is all new equipment I think you'll find it will cost more again but get on eBay, gumtree, garage closure sites online and my favourite a good old fashioned auction but beware of additional fees on the bidding price as much as 30%

if new decent quality equipment you will blow through 25K with ease, when i opened up i spent £30K just like that, there will be a shed load of hidden costs, its not hard to go through several thousand paying sparks to wire the place. you could be looking at a couple of K just in insurance, then you have rent up front rates etc etc.

assuming your not looking at borrowing the whole lot, i'd suggest leasing some of the big stuff, if the lease is done correctly you get tax relief on it, and it leaves you with more working capital
