    Yamaha RD350LC YPVS project

I've got 3 other bikes and this one's been sat in the shed since I bought it, so might as well get it gone.

I haven't had it running, cos it had a flat battery when I picked it up. Chap I got it from said he rode it back from Norfolk or somewhere, then just laid it up with the intentions of getting it finished (like I've done :o )
So it's being sold as a non running project.
It's got a few trick bits fitted, like VFR400 single sided swingarm and rear wheel, Aprilia USD front end, rear sets, black chrome Microns (not great nick) paintwork/bodywork is pretty good. It really just needs a strip down/rebuild and stuff re-painting/coating/polishing.

Bought off ebay last year for £690.

Be nice to get my money back.

p.s. Steve the dog and Danny's 'little Lambo' are not for sale :p

No gra The 250 had single disc and the 350 had twin front That was one of the only ways of telling the difference between them

yes but the 350 engine also fitted a 250 frame ( at least the non ypvs ones did - did they do a 250 ypvs ?)

as did the 400 aircooled into the old 250 aircooled rd

showing our age now guys the lc really was a massive leap forward at the time

your missing my point! it hasnt got an LC front end or even LC wheels! therefore it could be single disc, twin disc or even a drum brake on the front depending on what bike the front end is off

not that i recall, 350,125 yes, but 250, dont think so , well not in the uk market anyway.

funny the first one i rode was a 350ypvs, iheard heard all the stories about how vicious 350 lc was, and was disappointed it seemed really tame, i guess it just didnt have the grunt of my CB900

I used to go racing with a lad he raced the 250 and 350 LC in the 500 and 1100 class it was a very quick bike I think the tuner was Norman becket in Nottingham Then they bought the YPVS out and that was as quick with out being tuned then the 500 came out MONSTER

the common thing it's to replace with a suzuki VJ22 front and rear ends,
but here it's looks like something else, honda RC something at the rear ?

Not a bike expert but my brother in law used to have an RZ250 (i think) which was a 250 ypvs in a 350 chassis.

It was a jap import though.
