You need to move the engine back about 3/4 of an inch and trim the rear of the x-member off.

I make these mounts just for the job, they take a standard ford bush, so you can us original rubber, soft or hard poly depending on preference:

I see your chassis mounted there.

Just wondering how so many people manage with a wcxm and mounts just by trimming the lip

    Re: Sump clearance issues

I have tried lots of WCXM and have never seen one position the engine central, most put them at an angle which causes loads of other small issues along the line. Trust me the way I do it will solve a lot of little pains down the road.

The WCXm also used leaf spring metalastic bushes which in the main are far to hard for road cars.

    Look how central this is:

If retaining the standard (or wcxm) crossmember you definitely need to trim the back of it. We took about 15mm off to get it to clear.

    Re: Sump clearance issues

Feel free to ring me in the week and I can talk you about the best way to fit it, 01474 850666

I hold the chassis mount kits £50 for the basic set, extra for poly bush.

Moving them back too far really upsets the car IMO - plus they look horrible done like that, much better to see an engine that looks like it could have been there from factory
