    Duratec I4 Escort RWD conversion

    Some general information:

The Duratec is available in 2 and 2,3l. It has chaindriven camshafts and a cast Alloy block. It is 20-25 kg (90kg) lighter than a Zetec and it should do 190BHP on thtottlebodies for the 2 liter and 220 BHP for the 2,3 liter.

    General engine information:

    Questions:

Did anyone build an 2,3l I4 Escort Mk1/2 before ?

What enginemounts are best to be used ?

Is there an other option for dry sump? (altered sump?)
    - the "ranger" sump will not fit.

    Where to get parts ?

Where to get exhaust manifold ?
    - I've got a guy making price winning exhaust manifolds. A singleone is a bit expensive, I could have a batch made. Then they are cheaper.
