cosworth gear box fault help wanted

hi guys
I've got a mk2 escort yb 330 bhp t5 gearbox. problem I was having last year is some times when giving it a bit cant get it in 3rd gear every time was using dextron 2 atf oil tried changing to full synesthetic gear oil but no improvement so this weekend decided time to remove and strip it so be ready for summer fun lol only thing is cant see anything wrong with it 3rd gear synchro looks mint same as hub have stripped and rebuild many gearboxes as worked for Honda for 30 years so any ides would be help full thanks

Yes Ged its syncro and bulk rings need replacing ,the norm on a t5 3rd gets a battering , aware if forced the fork bends so make sure it seated ok on repair. I take its runs ok mate

My t5 is the same but it's also been making bearing noises for the past 15 years but it's still goin ? I'm gonna fit rx8 6sp as only running up to 300hp
Modifying stuff is never gonna end and it will never b finished lol ;-)))

yes its running sweet thanks pal think I need bit more power it gets additive lol not quite getting one bar on boost so think need drill that amal valve out a bit more but forgot how much you said by sorry .I say its running ok but when cold on idle every now and then the revs drop a bit then it revs up on its own ok when warm . think with gearbox going for full set new bearing and syncows can you suggest best place to buy from thanks
