Hi Ian speak soon.
Nice X pack. Talking of RS 2000 X packs, anybody know where ROW 10S is these days?
I used to own this car from 78 to 82 ish.
cheers
Hi Mark,
It was going out in ROW 10S before it got nicked when I was 15 with you that lead to me building ORS 420R when I was 20. I have lots of pictures before and after the rebuilt to xpack grp 1 std. Although the car was new in 76 by 82 it was in a poor state and I purchased the car through a sports car dealer in Portsmouth with a blown motor. 2 days later the car was back on the road with John B ex panasonic capri motor fitted with twin 40's.
The GRP1 2.1 motor went in in 87 and was doing 170 bhp at the flywheel and would rev to 7k all day long. I remember when it was fresh doing an XR4i up the A3M without any problem. It is great to see the car still looking stunning although I know it has had another major rebuild with its current owner. I still have some of original parts of this car around the garage and the ford xpack parts book that I used to build it. See you at Goodwood on Saturday.
I see this car is in the latest classic ford
This weekend I will scan and upload some photos of this car before and after the xpack build in its original colour. Still regret the day I sold this car, but its great to see others seeing this car as something a bit special.

Sorry about the quality of the photos, but these were taken long before digital.
Hi guys,
Hope this message finds you well. I stumbled upon this thread a month ago after doing some quick Google searches on the car.
Currently, my father is the proud owner of this great Ford X-pack Escort, which resides in Australia!
If you want I can attach some photos of the car and some additional info as to how it has made its way all the way over here!
Thanks!
Yes Please !
Yeah get some up please mate as am building an X pack myself.
Go for it, sounds like it's had an interesting journey.
Hi,
I must apologise for being so late in replying. When I saw the amount of time that had passed between posts previously, I wasn't expecting people to reply so quickly. I guess I am VERY new here >.<
Currently I only have this photo of the car, but I will provide some more if you want in a couple of weeks when I am able to see the car next.
Thanks to the previous posters for information about the car, my Dad was surprised to see the photos of the car way back in the 80's!
Got love an x pack 😁
