How Wide Should My Strut-Hole Be ?

Hi , The time has come to replace my knackered standard top mounts with a pair of roller top mounts . Mk2 standard disc braked struts with KYB gas inserts on a mk1 escort . I'm getting a top hat spacer kit but they will need to be machined out . Can anyone tell me what size they need to be machined out to . The car is my daily driver at the moment so it would be a great help to have the spacers ready before I actually pull the struts apart . Cheers , Gerry .

There are two sizes so you will have to measure your own but the small hole should be 111mm PCD and big hole 134mm pcd

I'm talking about the holes in the top hat spacers that fit into the center of the roller top mount and grip the strut rod ..

There are lots of different sizes for different inserts
Best to strip them then machine it to fit
