Unfortunately this engine now has to go in order to make way for the 24v V6 engine I'm gonna use in the race car. It was built by Neil Roper (www.roperdevelopements.co.uk) and hasnt been used since. Neil has a cv that includes F1, Cosworth, Jordan, Minardi, Arrows, Prodrive, WRC, GT, works escorts and of course Hart.
The spec includes:
2.0 series 3 blacktop zetec, fully rebuilt, lightened and balanced
ARP bolts, revs to 8500rpm
V.light steel race flywheel
Tilton race clutch
Titan dry sump and pump
Davies Craig electric water pump (no wrong rotation issues!)
Fully ported head, matched inlet manifold
Large valves, ARP solid lifters
284/450 cams
Magnecor race leads, spark plugs
MBE management, fully mappable
4 into 1 race manifold, as seen on TS and the build pics were in Classic Ford recently. Cermakrome 'triple' Camcoated (by camcoat). Lambda boss fitted
Twin 45 weber carbs, not used, with magard linkage
PRICE £3750 ONO
This engine was run once on Fords own Dyno before Neil bought it and completely rebuilt it at a cost of around £7k-£8k. It has never been run since so is basically brand new! Expected power from Neil (he's used this spec in hotrod engines) is 220bhp minimum on 45's with around 175 pounds of torque, but nearer to 240bhp if it was run on 50's or throttle bodies.
