The Retromotorsport on the rear quarters and screen, and the image worx on the roof came out really nice.
Heres a couple of my other kind sponsors' logos designed by Sticky Matt;
Boost performance, my engine builder;
RCR race car refinishers (aka scuffs-n-stuff)
Fossie, who will be supplying an atlas setup very soon
There are also BARC, turbosport and the dreaded novice cross decals, cheers again to Matt, top work

Also bought these bits recently to fit in the car next week;
The accusump, vital as I cant fit a dry sump at the moment
and my shiny new DTA S80 pro ecu which I'm fitting ready for Andy to wire in once his car is finished and racing

i'll see how dave does this year and maybe i'll have a go next year!!!!!
Or I may just spend a couple of years banger racing first for the experience, and then go out there!!!
and not to mention
too nice to race
well they all start off that way, will do my best to keep it in one piece though.
Getting it to Andy Pipe's for the ecu wire once he's is done (as long as it goes well at the weekend) and then its just a case of bolting on all the bits I've bought lately and getting the floor and watts tower sorted on the back end, then we can start testing it and setting everything up

Made this mount the other day to fit the ecu onto. It's perspex with countersunk rubber bobbins to stop any heat or vibration from the tunnel. The ecu attaches to it with h/d velcro and trust me it aint gonna fall off in a hurry, that stuff STICKS
Ecu ready to be wired in to the loom. The comms lead plugs in on the front of it making it nice and easy to use when mapping
Also got my new 6 point harness from Claire at PLR yesterday.

Also got a 6 paddle AP racing clutch and a new cover, oh and a shiny T5 concentric clutch kit;
Also picked up a 3 bar map sensor today (cheers Mr Pearce ) so I now have most of the bits we need to finish the car off pray:

thats shit hot mate, great progress. the car looks awesome
Got a bit done today at the Pipes, more pics to follow.
Fitted my new flywheel, clutch and modified the T5 to fit the concentric release bearing.
Only trouble is I have a unique combination of gearbox, bellhousing, engine and clutch system so all went swimmingly until we found that the bearing didn't have enough throw (or any) to move the clutch
A quick trip to Burtons got us no further as spacers are not made for this concentric, so next stop was Gary at Retro.
In no time he looked at the problem, went to the lathe and a short time later we had a perfectly machined spacer that slots btweeen the concentric and the alloy adapter on the box. Cheers Gary
At least we had nice weather and it was good to see how easy the box comes in and out with 2 people working under there

Thanks to Ray Donner (Andy Pipes painter) this week for painting up my speedline wheels. They are 16" gpA wheels, these ones have inters on but I have a set of 4 225-45-16's going on the other 4 wheels tomorrow to use as wets.
These are budget friendly and have a suprisingly good offset for the escort so that the arches don't look too empty, they also clear the brakes, which is nice
pre refurbing to check brake clearance;
If I get another set of image wheels with wets as big as my slicks I'm looking well over £2k so for now these will do great and the car also fits straight on the trailer which it wont with the orange wheels.
All I need now is to get the gpA wheel nuts, not sure if they are the same as the gp4 conversion ones

I think they would have looked better in white dave!, but I'm sure you have good reasons for the black!!!
are they much heavier than the split rims?
They looked like they'd been nicked off a rally car in white and look much better in black. Nothing else on the car is white (except the name on the window) so they would have looked odd IMO
They are heavier than the 13" wide splits btw
Another good thing is that the tyres are the same diameter as the slicks so won't require a different ride height setting

I hereby pledge my commitment to being there when that thing rolls out on track for a race meeting.
With my logos. That may stick.
Due to insurance complications I don't do test days... Well not from trackside anyway. And my day rate is hideous
