ST170 sump

Can the St170 sump be cut and welded to suit rwd like you see some lads have done
I don't want a steel cvh one but cant find a 1.8. Zetec alloy sump

Is the ST sump a two parter - alloy against crankcase and tin under? If so its unlikely as the Mondeo one I tried with is angled in two directions and by the time it was milled flat most of the windage tray / bracing was gone and was getting a bit close to the seals. Never say never but not easy if paying someone IMO.

it can be made rwd - see my westfield thread - but you wont get it around an escort xmember, just flat for kit cars.
