Re: Classic Ford RC shells or cars

www.kamtec.co.uk used to make escort shells for mini stocks i think, keep an eye on ebay too, i dont think you can buy a kit with an escort shell any more.

i got a mk1 and a box arched RS2000 but not mounted em on a chassis yet. i'll get round to it soon as i find a couple of cheapo cars, be good for turbosport meets!

actually i'll turn this into an appeal for a couple of rc chassis, wheelbase needs to be around 8 or 9 inches but i can modify em, if i can get enough bits to get em going i'll bring em to meets and let you all play with em, promise! L

trouble with them chassis is no suspension, so you need a very flat car park and you have to sweep all the stones up, no good if you cant take your escort on a gravel stage is it????

I THINK they are 1/8th, they look a bit small though, look a bit big to be 1/10th as well.

Is there somewhere you can get wheels for them ? Must be someone doing Minilite style wheels, cos they used to use them on the Tamiya Mini Cooper.

Re: Classic Ford RC shells or cars

you cant get minilite wheels at all from anywhere that are to scale. the mini ones are a lot smaller than normal 1/10 scale wheels. only way is to make your own....which i think is pretty hard lol

I got my shell from somebodies as well.... its a pretty good shell...decals are a bit poor tho. gonna get some made up and printed soon. Its all work in progress...when its finished will put some pics up
